Holiday Inn Saves Thousands Lighting the Lobby/Corridors
In August 2003, Holiday Inn Kitchener Bought 167 of R30 Reflector Flood Lights.
Input = 16 Watts Output = 75 Watts
Why is this important?
This Hotel had been using 65-Watt Incandescent Flood Lights for many years.
1) High maintenance - Replacement of burn-outs, sometimes daily, was required; Money is wasted. (MIW)
2) High Heat: Incandescent lights create opportunities to run the Air Conditioning System frequently to chill hot air caused by the lamps. Energy is used. MIW.
